I would honestly love if Blizzard used one of the other Horde races to be warchief but at the end of the day I expect Blizzard to keep writing Orc vs Humans like its 1994. I would love to be wrong but I'm going to take a wait and see attitude.

Interesting stuff, though I'm not sure of all of the lore myself. I also agree that there will not be a undead, blood elf or goblin warchief. As much as a Tauren warchief appeals and feels like some recompense for the loss of Cairne, I don't think Baine would be interested.

I wonder if there might be a push from the other races to ensure an orc wasn't the warchief and with Baine removing himself out of the running, that leave Vol'jin. The Tauren would accept that, but would the rest. Who knows.

Funny things is Mass Effect to me, I own both games 1 and 2, but never actually finished both of them, eck , I got first ME 2,and play about 40 hours on it then I stooped, got ME1 about 2 months ago and Played like 10 minutes or less. =)
So I don´t think, I will be getting the third one, Hell even Skyrim is on the old, because of WOW, but they are greats games, and some day I will play more.

I think you hit the nail on the head its the two tone nature that makes it hard to really take the story as a whole seriously. Even when they are trying really really hard.

I do think that if we seen the consequences of our actions a bit more it owuld help, and I don't mean years down the road.

I saw the B5 reference you did,in you last podcast and I agree, great show, that reminds me, must get It on DVD, all of it. Now Wow Story, I like when Blizz sometimes does not take it seriously, its good to see references to other things in game, IMO it only make the game better and more enjoyable.
But the serious part, sometimes lacks the seriousness on the serious parts, but in a MMO is hard to keep the continuity of the story, you kill a boss and the story does not change, but the phasing blizz did was a good way to fix it in part.

Now lets see what blizz does in MoP.

There are some excellent ideas in this post that I have never thought of. This is certainly a better idea than just going to fight in the Emerald Dream. Going to the moons, fighting the titan defenses, and actually playing the role of the corrupter (in the eyes of the Titans) is a really interesting concept. Its something we also see in the upcoming Mists of Pandaria expansion. The same idea applies: We are corrupting the Pandaren's world, we are coming to their land and destroying their resources. I like this idea because essentially, in our minds, we are the good guys. But taking a step back and looking at things from all angles, to others, we are not the good guys. We are the problem.
Also, I think we could get some pretty creative art, themes, etc by going to the moon. Just like MoP, it would be a fundamental change to what we see on a normal basis, and I am sure we would see some very creative things going on.

I personally don't think any of it is that crazy. The titans are a fundamental part of Azeroth, and they are certainly still keeping watch. They may not intervene all the time, and may not intervene at the right times, but they are still watching. I think it is important that we remember this throughout our travels in the game, and therefore it wouldn't be a bad route to go for an expansion to include them a bit more since it has been a while.

First off, great appreciation for your marvelous post Sayo. I am very humbled to have such nice words written about me. You have been an inspiration yourself as to providing such a constant source of interesting content that enhances the community around this wonderful game. This game is a fantastic game, but it is the community that surrounds it and becomes an extension of it that makes it the best in the world.

Hopefully things improve for you and hopefully this "madness" will pass for you soon. Friends are here for you if you need them.

And a quick response to Alberthus99999 above: your blog is great. How your blog flows and the content it provides is in the eye of the beholder. Your posts don't have to be 500 words to provide something significant to the community, nor do they have to become detailed and bogged down in being too overly complex. Yep, that was the original understand up til Cata. At that point we found out the Alien Worgen were in fact Night Elf druids from 6000 years ago that were using the worgen form that had been traped in the Emerald Dream after they went batshit crazy. All the Worgen come from that line but the return of the Worgen is made possible Argul and from there the people of Gildness also become infected including Genn.

Does that help? I thought it would be helpful for you to see what the worgen were before cata and after

Good to hear from you Al and Ormi. I do really like how transmog really draws our characters not just from the races but also we make them part of era which they were created.

I think its also interesting how most people would rather not deal with tabards since they can't be tranmoged

Ormi was my fourth toon. A worgen priest. I had never tried healing before, and once I began, I learned that it was the aspect of the game I liked the best. I faction changed back in May 2011, and now Ormi is a goblin. I had never put in the time and effort to learn, theorycraft and truly understand a class in the same way that I did with my priest.

I mogged Ormi into the vengeful gladiators set. Its a somewhat dark set with a dark halo over an ominous looking hood. I don't roleplay with Ormi, but I still know his personality. He's your typical greedy little goblin, he manipulates the light for his own selfish reason, he's will do whatever he can for his own gain. The set fits him and I am very happy with it.
